Amazon says delivered. FedEx says delivered. UPS says delivered.
This one is for the person who has checked their doorbell camera more times than they’d like to admit, waiting on a package that tracking swore was already there.
If you’ve ever had a package marked delivered but not received, you already know the feeling.
I see you!
I’ve heard some version of this story more times than I can count standing behind the counter here at Ship Orlando.
And it’s not always just about the package.
Sometimes it’s medication.
Sometimes it’s a birthday gift you ordered weeks ago.
Sometimes it’s business inventory you needed by Monday.
Sometimes it’s simply something you worked hard to pay for and expected to actually receive.
It’s not in your head. It really does happen this much.
One thing I’ve learned is that most delivery drivers are doing a lot more than people realize.
Some are making 140 stops and handling more than 220 packages in a day.
That’s a lot.
Mistakes happen, and I understand that.
What I don’t have patience for is the person who walks past your porch and decides what’s sitting there belongs to them now.
A package left outside is just an opportunity. Why give anybody one?
“Tracking says left with individual. I am the individual.”
And June in Orlando is not helping anybody.
I literally watched a driver throw a package at a door last week.
Not set it down.
Throw it.
Meanwhile, it’s 95 degrees at 2 PM, there’s a thunderstorm coming at 3 PM like it always does, and your package is just sitting outside going through all of that alone.
Hurricane season just started.
Prime Day is coming, and the volume of deliveries moving through this city is about to go way up.
This is genuinely the worst time of year for a porch to be your only plan.

Honestly, that statistic doesn’t surprise me.
At some point, most people just start treating that as normal.
And when something becomes normal, we stop questioning it.
The missing package.
The delivery photo that’s clearly someone else’s front door.
The box sitting outside in the middle of a Florida thunderstorm.
The package that says delivered but somehow isn’t there.
For a lot of people, that’s just part of online shopping now.
“I don’t want to pay to have my packages delivered there.”
Fair.
You can go to the UPS Store.
FedEx Office.
Amazon has Hub lockers.
But even those options don’t always make life easier.
If you ordered from three different places this week, you could easily end up making three separate trips, dealing with three different systems, three different hours, and probably three different lines.
And that’s assuming pickup is even an option.
A lot of what people are ordering right now comes from places like Temu, Shein, specialty retailers, and smaller online stores that don’t have a convenient pickup location waiting for you.
Those packages are usually headed straight to your home address.
Which means you’re right back to relying on your porch, the Florida heat, and whoever happens to walk by.
That’s not solving the problem.
It’s just relocating it.
Life is busy enough.
You shouldn’t have to play detective every time a package shows up.
The fix is simple — update your delivery address to Ship Orlando. That’s it. Everything else we handle.
“Delivered” should not be the beginning of a mystery.

Package receiving starts at an affordable monthly rate — cheaper than reordering what disappeared and easier than reporting it missing.
Because Orlando summers are already doing enough, your packages shouldn’t add to the chaos.
